Applicants applying for undergraduate degree studies are required to have completed their secondary education.
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English.
Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
Applicants must upload education documents in original language, as well as translations into English.
Diplomas and transcripts issued outside EU must be legalized with a legalization stamp or Apostille. More information available HERE
You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
Applicants must prove their current English language proficiency with valid document and/or there will be held a Skype interview for English language skills
Satisfactory grades in Mathematics (at least 4 in a 10 point grading system)
Preparatory courses are intended for international students who would like to study in a Bachelor degree programme at the University of Latvia, but whose language skills and other subject’s knowledge are not sufficient. Studying in preparatory courses will give opportunity to improve skills and knowledge to be enrolled in the chosen study programme.
Preparatory courses includes English language studies, to achieve level B2 (CEFR), Latvian languages studies to get basic knowledge, Mathematics to improve skills and knowledge obtained in secondary school.
In addition during preparatory courses students can choose two or three study courses from the chosen Bachelor study programme so these courses will be already acquired.
Together preparatory courses consists of courses with amount of 24 ECTS.
